Day by day

Day 1, Arrival in Antananarivo: Arrive at Ivato International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight: Antananarivo.

Day 2, Transfer to Andasibe: On your journey, stop at the Peyrieras Reserve, a renowned wildlife sanctuary where you can see Madagascar’s small creatures up close: chameleons, geckos, iguanas, butterflies, frogs, snakes and other endemic reptiles. Continue to Andasibe and check in to your lodge. After a short rest, visit the Vakona Private Reserve and its Lemur Island, where rescued lemurs live in semi-wild conditions, with close encounters and photo opportunities. Also visit the Vakona Crocodile Farm, a small wildlife reserve with crocodiles, birds, tortoises and, occasionally, the elusive fossa. In the evening, take a guided night walk in the VOIMMA Community Reserve, where, with luck, you may spot mouse lemurs, nocturnal chameleons, frogs and other night-active species. Overnight: Andasibe.

Day 3, Lemur Tracking: In the morning, explore Andasibe-Mantadia National Park (Analamazaotra), one of Madagascar’s most celebrated rainforests, famous for the Indri Indri, the largest living lemur, whose haunting calls echo through the forest. On your guided walk, you may also meet graceful sifaka lemurs, common brown lemurs, rare birds and colorful orchids. Overnight: Antananarivo.

Day 4, Fly to Morondava: On arrival, choose to relax or visit the Morondava Market, with stalls of local produce, spices, seafood and everyday Malagasy life, then unwind along the coastline with a stroll on the beach. In the afternoon, travel to the Avenue of the Baobabs, one of Madagascar’s most photographed landmarks, where centuries old baobab trees line the dusty road. Watch the sunset as golden light illuminates their silhouettes, a paradise for photographers. Overnight: Morondava.

Day 5, Leisure, Wellness and Cultural Immersion: Beach relaxation or village visits. Overnight: Morondava.

Days 6 and 7, Return to Antananarivo and Departure: Fly back to Antananarivo for your international departure.
