Day by day

Day 1, Arrival in Maun: Arrive at Maun Airport, gateway to the Okavango Delta. A ZayVoyage by SARI representative meets you, takes you to your luxury lodge, helps you check in and talks you through your itinerary. Overnight: Maun.

Day 2, Fly to the Okavango Delta: Take a light aircraft flight into the Delta and settle into your safari lodge surrounded by pristine wilderness. Afternoon safari. Overnight: Delta lodge.

Day 3, Okavango Delta Safari: Explore the waterways by mokoro canoe, guided by local experts. Look out for hippos, elephants, antelope and rare birds. Overnight: Delta.

Day 4, Delta Game Drives: Morning and afternoon safari drives through floodplains and islands. Overnight: Delta lodge.

Day 5, Okavango to Chobe National Park: Fly to Kasane and transfer to Chobe National Park, home to Africa’s largest elephant population. Evening river safari along the Chobe River. Overnight: Chobe.

Day 6, Chobe Safari: A full day exploring the park, with sightings of elephants, lions, buffalo and crocodiles. Overnight: Chobe lodge.

Day 7, Makgadikgadi Salt Pans: Travel south to the surreal Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, one of the largest salt flats on earth, and enjoy a sunset experience on the salt plains. Overnight: lodge.

Day 8, Desert Exploration: Meet meerkats, ride quad bikes across the salt flats and take part in cultural experiences with the San Bushmen. Overnight: Makgadikgadi.

Day 9, Return to Maun: Return to Maun for an afternoon at leisure and a farewell dinner. Overnight: Maun.

Day 10, Departure: Transfer to the airport for your onward flights.
